As part of a major residential development in Hounslow, West London, Mayfair Interiors was appointed to deliver the complete Steel Framing System (SFS) installation across 74 new-build apartments. The project required accuracy, speed and coordination with multiple trades to achieve airtight, structurally sound façades ready for external finishes.
Scope of Works
Supply and installation of SFS infill wall systems across all apartment elevations.
Integration with external façade and cladding systems.
Installation of deflection heads, fixing brackets and fire-stopping barriers.
Close coordination with main contractor, façade engineers and M&E teams.
The Challenge
Working within a tight construction schedule, the SFS installation had to maintain programme efficiency while meeting fire and acoustic performance criteria. Logistics required precise sequencing across multiple floors and elevations.
Our Solution
Mayfair Interiors deployed a dedicated SFS team using prefabricated, lightweight steel components engineered for accuracy and speed. All works were delivered under CDM 2015 compliance, with rigorous QA checks at every stage to verify line, level, and fixings. The result was a fully certified, structurally secure framework ready for follow-on trades.
Outcome
74 apartments completed on programme
Zero defects on QA inspection
Compliant with NHBC, fire and acoustic regulations
Delivered safely and efficiently through controlled sequencing and daily coordination with site management.
