A true icon of the London skyline, Centre Point Tower is home to some of the city’s most sophisticated workspaces. When our client required improved acoustic performance without compromising design, Mayfair Interiors was appointed to deliver a seamless ceiling and wall system using acoustic spray plaster and MF acoustic ceiling installations.
Scope of Works
Application of acoustic spray plaster throughout reception and circulation areas to absorb reverberation and maintain visual minimalism.
Installation of MF acoustic ceilings, integrating concealed services and LED lighting within a smooth, monolithic finish.
Coordination with the building’s M&E contractor to ensure service access, compliance and precise detailing around junctions and columns.
The Challenge
The project required achieving strict acoustic targets within a Grade II-listed modernist structure, where design uniformity and historical preservation were critical. Ceiling systems needed to blend seamlessly with the existing aesthetic while delivering measurable sound absorption.
Our Solution
We specified a high-performance acoustic spray plaster system applied to a continuous substrate, allowing the ceiling to remain clean and uninterrupted. The MF suspended ceiling framework provided hidden service runs and supported lighting integration, maintaining accessibility for future maintenance.
Both systems were finished in a pure white, fine texture, echoing the building’s minimalist architecture while delivering substantial noise reduction and occupant comfort.
Outcome
The result is a calm, balanced acoustic environment that complements the tower’s refined design. The project demonstrates how modern acoustic technology can be integrated discreetly into historic and architecturally sensitive spaces.
